Water Park

A trip to the waterpark is something new
Feeling naked without your shirt, ashames you
Children scream so loud you want what they've got
The freedom in yelling is something you forgot
Down a waterslide you are in fright
Whats up ahead is all out of sight
Twist and turns they all make you shout
hold on now, it'll spit you out
You plunge in water now you are relieved
You yell out a laugh and smile for others to eat
You've made it down now, down the trecherous ride
It was nothing you say, with your grown up pride
Leaving the park you're feeling so renewed
Carrying on your back the yelling truth
Your sunburned skin glows brighter than the moon
Pitch black eyes, they howl at you
But a couple days at home, your colors fade
to lift and project your voice, you're now afraid
What other grown ups think, overtake your thoughts
It's time to leave to eat from other parks
You're hungry now you are for another thrill
Addicted to change so you swallow a new pill
In the end remember friend, you weren't forced to move
Hope in those tinglings you've chased you've found truth
Hope in those tinglings you've chased you've found truth
Hope in those tinglings you chased, you find that good old truth

All these links I am clicking
Trying to be reborn
Logged into the world wide web
To buy the clothes behind it's doors
All these links I am clicking
Has got me so bored
Age, sex, location please
I opened up, the lying door
I told her I was older
I had a high paying job
I acted so much bolder
She didn't know right from wrong
I erased all my features
I Curated my interests
I did not send her a picture
Imagination is best
All these links I am clicking
Late into the night
My pupils have adjusted now
Don't know my left from my right
All these links I am clicking
I scavenged for artifacts
Some feeling to be grounded in
A burning image that will last
I lost my house in a tsunami
I'm a beggar that's faced down
I'm a boxer that's competing
I got knocked out in the first round
I'm a reptile morphing
Putting on my camouflage
All these bullets they keep flying at me
I kiss this cross, and pray to God
I kiss this cross, and pray to God
I was not scared, I was not scared, I was not scared
I was not there, I was not there, I was not there
I'm not here, I'm not here, no I'm not here to be found
Because I live in ideas now
How can I care, How can I care, How can I care
I just stare, I just stare, I just stare
I'm not there I'm not there, but I'm not here to be found
Because I live in ideas now
I live in ideas now
I live in ideas now

Grace

One thing I've learned
There's always two sides to truths
There's both good and an evil
It was true for my soul too
So I looked into a mirror
Found out that I was blind
So I opened my ears
heard whisperings that were not kind
Fears a wretched thing
Its always chasing after me
Makes changes in my face
Even my sense of being
The past it always creeps
Feels like you're never someone new
All your mistakes
Composes you... into you
Now I don't have that much
To offer it's clear to see
I can't even play the game
I always hide, but rarely go seek
I thought about the fire
That burned but never scarred
And how I never felt the cold
Even when I chose to depart
It's the warmth of her thoughts
That saw me through the night
She once said, You're welcomed home
When you've grown tired to go out and fight
Does the offer still stand tonight
Loves a funny thing
It's always chasing after me
Makes changes in my face
Even my state of being
The past it may creep
But you're making me new
All my mistakes
They were nailed to you
Her name was Grace
She made me new
She took away the mistakes
The guilt and shame
Oh they flew
Then I met Peace, she's like the Ocean
She swayed with me
That's when I weeped
Cause I was feeling so cleaned
Who knew
Its what I needed, again
Its what I need, again
